WHAT ARE RUNES? Runes, which are believed to be of Celtic or Nordic origins, are small stones or crystals with symbols imprinted on them. There are 25 pieces in a rune set. The first 24 stones have the symbols carved in gold and one stone is blank. Rune sets are used for divination and magical purposes. Runic divination or runecasting works by originating a question in the mind and allowing the intuitive mind to pick one or more runes from a bag/container and cast them onto a surface. A rune reading can look at a particular issue from the past, present and future.
